Merrie Monarch 2012 new livestreaming site


Merrie Monarch 2012 has a new livesreaming site at kfve this year:

Bay Area Kapa Making class – is tomorrow 4/14/2012 at Kaululehua Cultural Center 9am-3pm. We are working on ohe kapala (bamboo stamps).

  1. I loved that the Merrie Monarch is streamed live. Mahalo for that! Everyone did a great job. Congrats to all the Kumu Hula and their Students. With that being said. I have to sound off on a disappointment. Kumu Hula Mark Keali’i Ho’omalu and the Academy of Hawaiian Arts Halau, should have placed, both kane and wahine. They were incredible……

    I am hearing that he did not place because he does not pronounce the hawaiian words correctly. Really? They deserved to win, something, anything. Time for a new panel of judges…. I am in no way associated with AHA, but I would love to be.
